The Artists and their Work

Eleanor Clutton-Brock: Eleanor is self-taught and works in the very versatile medium of paper and wire.  It allows her to show freedom of movement, great attention to detail and the joy of self-expression.

The sculptures, the ideas for which can come from mythology and from current events, often express a comment on society, and use a combination of figures both realistic and anthropomorphic.  The construction of the figures starts with a wire armature  which is layered with a variety of papers before being painted and heavily varnished to give durability.
